For anyone that follows us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc; you’ve probably been seeing a lot of things happening with Strada Customs. Aside from all the cool projects we’ve been working on with Strada, the initial spark to this new found relationship with Strada was for SGS to build their new website. SGS Art Director Victor Roman spearheaded the project as Creative Director along with SGS Director of Technology, David Morales as Lead Developer.
Victor has been very familiar with Strada and re-branded their entire website with designs that started from hand-sketches and applied them to the digital space. Along with a newly re-designed logo, Victor also designed a character of a bee to give the Strada Customs branding a clear direction and identity to be established so that it expands more opportunities from just branding their own bikes. From drop down menu’s to icons, Victor was very precise about every detail with what he envisioned. With the new website launch, Strada also recently launched a pop-up shop in New York City’s Chinatown. Victor was commissioned to paint the walls of the new shop with all the new designs that were done for their re-branding package to further solidify the brand.
The most challenging aspect of this website was the custom builder. To ensure that the new website would have a completely different look, feel and compatibility of function on mobile Apple devices; David built the entire website in HTML5. Comprising of 4 different languages of programming, the builder had to be strategic in order for all the functionalities to communicate between the different components of the builder and still have compatibility to the payment and shipping gateways. With all the customizations that can be done on a Strada bike, David also spent a lot of time to make sure that all the colorways in the builder actually matched up to the tangible products.
With the new Strada Customs website being in beta as of now, the bike builder and shopping cart is currently active and Strada is receiving and taking orders through their new website. The hard launch will also include an eShop that consists of soft goods and accessories along with a new set of images for the gallery!
