Over the summer we had the pleasure of producing 2 dance videos for the powerhouse headwear brand, New Era. I personally wear a New Era cap everyday and am a huge fan of the brand so when we got approached to produce not just one but two videos, I was very ecstatic. The premise of the video was to show off “Cap Tricks” utilizing prominent New York City dancers to show off the caps. The primary objective was to focus not just on the dance routines, but the brand’s products as well as an emphasis on their new apparel line. We collectively decided to use the city of New York as the backdrop and to capture the essence of the city, we found an undisclosed rooftop in West New York where the silhouette of the west side of the city was prevalent in every shot. The first video featured 2 dancers from Brooklyn who goes by the names of Cory and Spyder, where they displayed a routine that consisted of many different cap tricks. For the second video, we decided to wait for the sun to go down to capture a different lighting aesthetic and feel. The second video features the talented Valentine Norton and his routine was completely off the top of his head, freestyling all the movements while wearing a New Era fedora. It was an amazing experience to work with the team at eFashion Solutions who helped with location and talent scouting for the project as well as the team from New Era. Hope you enjoy!
