The Bronx

Apparently I was in the good part of town – Riverdale. When I think about the Bronx, for some reason a flash goes through my head from random scenes in Jackie Chan’s Rumble in the Bronx, but if Tracy Morgan resided in this town, than I guess it’s okay. It didn’t feel any different from Jackson Heights in Queens. I just wish I had more time to check out the good Dominican food. The travel time wasn’t bad – about an hour and 20 minutes. It was just annoying having to transfer to 3 different trains. I went to go visit my friend David and his sneaker shop called Mr. Footwear. The store itself was a pretty typical store, something you’d see outside the heart of Manhattan. Location of the store was pretty good, right off Broadway and the 1 train where there is a lot of foot traffic. Considering that we are in a recession and it was mid-day, there were a good amount of people walking in and out of the store. David and I kicked back and rapped out about sneakers and such. He hooked me up with a fresh pair of Spizikes, shoes I’ve been been eye balling all week. David is now my official sneaker connect in NYC, lol.
